Mark S. Gardner, managing partner and founder of Retire Well Dallas, is a trusted guide for retirement planning. With a career spanning over four decades, Mark has cemented his reputation as a pre-and post-retirement specialist, offering expert guidance on premium finance life insurance and tax-advantaged retirement strategies.
Mark’s extensive knowledge and authoritative voice in retirement planning are well recognized. He is credited with the forward for The New Holistic Retirement and co-author of the best-selling book, The Keys to Authenticity with Jack Canfield. His accolades include the EXPY Award and Quilly Award, and Forbes, Benzinga, and Yahoo Finance have sought his insights. Media appearances on ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox affiliates and the hit show Success Today further underscore his prominence in the field.
Retire Well Dallas, founded in 2008, operates in Dallas, Houston, and Seattle, Washington. The firm’s mission is to help clients plan for the retirement they envision, both before and after leaving the workforce. Mark’s hallmark is his commitment to using tax-advantage strategies to ensure clients enjoy a worry-free income during retirement. “With every recommendation,” Mark states, “I have to be able to look at myself in the mirror and know that this is what I would do for myself and my family in the same situation.”
Mark’s expertise is fortified by his certifications in Social Security Claiming Strategies (CSSCS) and college funding. He is also a member of Ed Slott’s Master Elite IRA Advisor Group, ensuring he remains updated on the latest retirement strategies and tax laws. As a Federal Retirement Consultant℠, he assists federal employees in navigating their retirement benefits and making informed decisions.
Drawing on his vast experience, Mark offers a unique perspective on retirement planning. He likens the process to skydiving: initially exhilarating, but potentially perilous without the right guidance. Many retirees, he notes, are unprepared for the financial complexities that come with retirement, particularly the impact of taxes. “Taxes can be one of your six major enemies, significantly reducing your income,” Mark warns. He emphasizes the importance of tailored strategies, as every individual’s situation is unique.
Mark’s approach involves fitting the right solution to the right client, much like Cinderella’s slipper. For instance, those with passive income from stocks or properties could see up to 85% of their Social Security benefits taxed. Mark meticulously pieces together the puzzle of each client’s financial picture to ensure the best outcomes. His goal is clear: to provide a reliable income stream for retirees, transforming their retirement from “forever taxed to never being taxed,” if they qualify.

Plan For Your Future

There is no one “best place” to put your retirement money because each individual and couple has unique requirements, different tolerances for risk, and need their money at different times. Likewise, there is no one place to keep your money that fits everyone for exactly the same reasons. Your unique circumstances must be taken into consideration if you seek to find the “most favorable place” for your retirement money. This is where we can be of service.
